Suicide of Lucas: the poignant testimony of one of his comrades, also a victim of harassment

This Sunday, February 5, a white march will take place in memory of Lucas, the teenager victim of bullying who killed himself in early January. On the eve of this day, the BFMTV teams met a child attending the same college and who also denounced acts of harassment.

On January 7, the young Lucas, aged 13, took his own life. A student in 4th grade at Louis-Armand College in Golbey, in the Vosges, the young boy was the victim of harassment. This Saturday, February 4, BFMTV met a another college student from the same establishment who turned out to be also the target of attacks from his comrades.

They harass me always take my things, but never give them back”thus denounced the 12-year-old teenager at the microphone of our colleagues, specifying that she was the victim of physical violence, in particular “punches or even kicking. The schoolgirl also confided to being harassed by three other children since primary school.

“I have the impression that they do nothing at all”

It scares me, I don’t want the same thing to happen to him as to Lucas“, worried his mother on BFMTV. And to add: “no matter how much we tell the principal that he has to do something, nothing happens. I have the impression that they do nothing at all. For me, it does not move. We do not know if the people have been summoned, or not, we do not know anything“Like her, Lucas’s mother also denounced the college’s inaction during a press conference held on Monday, January 30. “We had to react”, she let go. A few days ago four minors were indicted for “school harassment leading to suicide”. They will appear in the spring before a juvenile judge.
