Millennials will probably remember the big halterneck trend of the ’00s. Who would have thought that the look would have another major fashion peak twenty years later. But a few things have changed since then.
The Y2K style has been an integral part of the fashion world for two years now. Even in summer, an old fashion trend from the 00s is brought back and given a stylish update. While in the past it was mainly simple halter tops with wide straps that were worn, this summer there are much more eye-catching models that are being presented on Instagram and the like. Bikini style halter tops
A fashion comeback is particularly exciting when it receives an update. The previous halter tops with deep V-necks and wide straps are more like a bikini top than a top this summer. A bustier that resembles a figure eight ends in a neck cord. A stylish cut-out below the bust brings variety to your wardrobe. Boring suddenly becomes exciting and you immediately radiate that holiday feeling. Our tip: Treat your skin with a self-tanner beforehand to enhance the holiday character of your outfit.
Crossed straps
Sometimes the wheel doesn’t need to be reinvented. Halterneck tops simply get a new strap and they look more modern and flatter our figure at the same time. Tops with crossed straps have the advantage of positively emphasizing the shoulder area, so that the arm looks more defined. Fashionista Grece prefers a black model, but there are no limits when it comes to colors for the coming summer season.
The classic halter neck
Good news for anyone who wore halter neck tops in the 00s, the classic cut is still very popular. Whether as a dress or crop top, the V-neck is getting lots of variations this summer. Cropped tops look particularly cool with maxi skirts or cargo pants.
