Hello weekend!
Ring in the summer with homemade rhubarb gin
Hardly any flavor can get us in the summer mood as quickly as rhubarb. It tastes best when it is freshly prepared – or when combined with gin for a delicious refreshment.
Gin and tonic is probably the trend drink of the last few years. No wonder, after all, it tastes pretty delicious. The drink gets an even better upgrade in combination with rhubarb. In the video you will learn Jamie Oliver’s recipe for delicious rhubarb gin.
Rhubarb Gin: The drink that tastes like summer
In addition to its fresh taste, the rhubarb gin scores above all with its simple method of preparation. For the recipe you only need:
- 250 grams of rhubarb
- half a lime
- half a lemon
- 1 packet of vanilla sugar
- 100 grams of raw sugar
- 700 milliliters of gin
You can see how the gin is prepared in the video. After three to four days you can enjoy your drink with tonic water and garnish it as you like. A version with lemon wedges, ice cubes and basil tastes best.
