Conference dates and times
Here is the complete list of the various conferences that you will be able to attend during this first half of June. The schedule is just as chaotic as in previous editions and participants are likely to be notified at the last moment, Capcom style. Electronic Arts and many other publishers have also chosen to skip this time of year, to give players an appointment when their games are ready.
Summer Game Fest
Geoff Keighley decided to temper players’ expectations straight away, warning that the opening ceremony would contain “a few surprises”, but that it would above all be an opportunity to learn more about games in development. This is not necessarily bad news, there are a lot of games already announced which are still far too discreet for our taste. If they don’t always offer “berserk” ads, Devolver dates are at least a good laugh.. The publisher never hesitates to be ironic about the video game industry, with quirky and often trashy lives. As for the revelations expected for this edition of Summer Game Fest 2022, it will be a bit of a surprise. Even if it means dreaming a little, we wouldn’t be against a little Hotline Miami 3 or, even better, a fresh new license.
Xbox Games Showcase
It’s time to send heavy for Microsoft and Bethesda: Starfield has been postponed to the year 2023 and the 2022 calendar remains foggy to say the least (as at Sony for that matter). We know that Microsoft has many AAAs in the works and that some are not ready to arrive, but it will still be quite a long time since we have heard from Fable. We also wonder how Everwildthe next Rareware: enchanting with each of its appearances, this title full of mysteries has been restarted by its developers, postponing the release to 2024. Much closer to us, we should certainly review Hellblade 2 : Since its announcement, Ninja Theory’s game has always taken advantage of big Xbox events to show more, it’s hard to see how it could be otherwise this time again. Note thatan extended version of the live will be offered two days after its broadcast during the Summer Game Festwith new trailers and a video around 90 minutes.
Capcom Showcase
We remember last year’s Capcom show, but not necessarily for the right reasons. During this half hour of live, the Japanese publisher had only made half announcements, probably because the games are simply not ready to be shown yet. we can already bet on a new appearance of Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak, on the sidelines of its release on Switch and PC on June 30. We still hope to have news from the very mysterious Pragmata, very silent since his announcement. Finally, maybe we can learn more about Resident Evil 4 Remake and Street Fighter 6, freshly unveiled in the June 2 State of Play.
