An event less spread over time

In this interview published on the Epic Games site, Keighley goes back a little on the various criticisms addressed to the event, in particular that concerning the scattering of shows and presentations during the summer, instead of having an appointment. you more focused for a few days.

He then states that we should expect fewer conferences this year, and a more concentrated Summer Game Fest in June:

I think it’s all going to be really compact in a few weeks because the industry kind of introduces itself to the rest of the world in June, with everyone hosting their events. I know there’s a prevailing sentiment that everyone likes everything to be reduced in two days, or three days, or something like that. But that’s really hard to do because companies want to own specific days. So, I don’t know if we’ll ever go back to this old model where everything is kind of compacted in a few days. ยป

He then indicates that we will be entitled to fewer conferences from third-party publishers this year, and that the latter will present their games to bigger fish, especially to manufacturers.

We must therefore expect a more concentrated Summer Game Fest, less rich in events, but which will continue to spread over several weeks. Everything will begin on June 9, with the opening conference.
