Whereas all eyes of the players are on the Game Awards 2022a ceremony organized and presented at the end of the year by Geoff Keighley aiming to reward the best games of the year and to unveil a lot of trailers, here is that the former journalist talks about his summer event.
Launched in 2020 to compensate for the absence of theE3 due to COVID-19, the Summer Game Fest has since become a recurring fixture every summer, and it will be back in 2023 (just like theE3). Like last year, the announcements will be concentrated in a single ceremony which will take place on June 8. It will obviously be to follow online on a bunch of platforms like Twitchbut also at YouTube Theater from Hollywood Park of Inglewood, California. The room will welcome 6,000 spectators to discover on site announcements, gameplay and of course plenty of “world premieres”.
Tickets to participate in the physical event will go on sale early next year, and we will still have to wait to discover the exact program of this Summer Game Fest 2023. Anyway, we already have an appointment this June 9, 2022 for the Game Awards 2022with a lot of beautiful people.
