Summer trend 2024: pumps, heels, sandals – many It girls are reaching for high heels for a big entrance. Not so with the casual girls from the north! They are taking a much more relaxed approach to their favorite summer shoes, as they proved again during Copenhagen Fashion Week. And although the Scandinavian It girls’ choice of shoes is surprisingly flat, they are taking us to a real high in terms of fashion.

For several years now, Copenhagen and Stockholm are among the most important fashion cities in the world. And that’s because of them: the Scandi girls, with their effortless, casual and damn trendy outfits. But it’s not just their clothes that impress, their shoes couldn’t be cooler either.

Summer trend 2024: 3 shoe models that Scandi girls love

1.Flip Flops

For a long time, the most comfortable sandals of the summer were considered an absolute no-go outside of the beach. But thanks to Copenhagen Fashion Week and It-girls like Pernille Teisbaek, Jeanette Madsen and Co., the lightweight shoes now belong in every fashionista’s wardrobe. Whether in timeless black or bright colors like red, yellow or green: flip flops provide a refreshing and unexpected break in style, especially when combined with elegant pants suits and playful puff-sleeved dresses.

2.”New Balance” sneakers

Casual retro sneakers loosen up any look. Scandi girls especially love the models from the “New Balance” brand and have caused a real hype with them. If you like it casual and sporty, you should wear these sneakers now. From elegant silk skirts to jeans – the sneakers can be combined in many different ways and go with almost everything. When it comes to choosing colors, we’re keeping it simple and relaxed, unlike the previous “ugly dad sneaker” trend. We want to emphasize our cool outfits and not distract from them.

3.Trekking sandals

Nobody knows how to relax better than the Scandi girls. Their golden rule: “Fashion or not – it has to be comfortable!” speaks to all of us.

And that’s exactly the key to their secret. That’s why, instead of elegant sandals with thin heels, they wear sturdy trekking sandals made of leather, denim or tweed with comfortable platform soles. They look just as stylish, but are much more comfortable. What more could you want?
