Sunburn make-up: this is how you put on the perfect summer complexion

We all want a sun-kissed complexion. But who still lies in the blazing sun? We'll tell you how you can achieve the perfect summer glow without any UV rays.

Gone are the days when you could spend hours lying in the blazing sun or (almost worse) under the tanning bed. UV protection is a must in our daily care routine, even on cloudy days. Our skin thanks us – unfortunately often at the expense of the perfectly tanned complexion. But good news: With this make-up technique, we immediately look like Ibiza after two weeks – at least!

Sunburn make-up: that's behind the trend

Behind the sunburn look is (as the name suggests) a make-up technique that you can use to cheat on a fake sunburn. "Why should you want that", one or the other might ask. The trick is to use blush to emphasize small accents on the face that would be reddened even after a real bath in the sun. This is gentle on your skin, but still looks fresh and summery. A win-win situation! But be careful: for a natural finish, less is often more.

This is how the look works

It couldn't be easier. Even those inexperienced in make-up can achieve the perfect sunburn look. Promised!

First, apply make-up to your base just as you would otherwise for your daily look. Whether light foundation or no make-up is entirely up to you. Now use blush to emphasize the areas of the face that are reddened even after sunbathing. Means: bridge of the nose, the forehead area just below the hairline, the chin and the cheekbones. Especially with the latter, you can work generously and apply the blush a little higher than usual. But be careful: a light hand is required here. When in doubt, it is better to wear a little too little than too much blush. Tip: peachy tones with a slight gold shimmer look particularly beautiful in summer.

You don't need much to round off your make-up perfectly: mascara, lip care and the no-make-up look is ready! For the ultimate cuteness overload, small fake freckles that you can easily paint on yourself with a brown kohl.
