Sunday in politics: Marine Le Pen’s duplex in Guadeloupe interrupted, the candidate jostled

While she is recording an interview for Sunday in politics, Marine Le Pen has been evacuated. Indeed, many activists would have entered the scene of the interview.

Will all the candidates for the presidential election be entitled to overflows? After the egg on the head of Eric Zemmour, the throw of chalk on Valérie Pécresse, now Marine Le Pen was taken to task during her trip to Guadeloupe. While she is in the middle of an interview in Sunday in politicsthe presidential candidate was exfiltrated by her security service. About thirty independence and extreme left activists would have entered the scene of the interview, shouting: “Le Pen out!” Where “Racist Le Pen!”.

If she was not injured, Marine Le Pen was forced to stop recording her interview and was evacuated. The president of the National Rally has decided to file a complaint “after the eruption of about twenty far-left demonstrators. The hotel was absolutely unprotected and the police took more than an hour to arrive”, a member of his campaign team told Franceinfo. “There were no real clashes or violence but rather intimidation vis-à-vis Marine Le Pen”explains a journalist on CNews.

Emmanuel Macron condemns the violence

Laurence Maquiaba, spokesperson for the National Alliance Guadeloupe, justified on Franceinfo the action of her group against Marine Le Pen. “She does not have her voice in the chapter. She is not legitimate to come and speak here. Even if she has changed, her party has changed? No! The people who are with her have changed? No!”. On his side, Emmanuel Macron condemned this violent act : “It shocks me. I condemn them with great firmness, because I value democratic debate. I fight the ideas of Madame Le Pen but with respect. And I think that the democratic life that is ours in a time of election , supposes that we condemn with the greatest firmness all forms of violence”.
