The Nintendo Direct Mini Partner Showcase gave pride of place to the heroes and licenses of yesteryear, and therefore without great surprise that we could witness another return of Bomberman with the presentation of Super Bomberman R 2which follows the first episode released five years ago, and which is presented as an evolution of Super Bomberman R with a new and very different game mode.

Konami has therefore decided to release a new party-game with a new story to discover and above all a new game mode, “ Castle “. This somewhat special mode will oppose 15 players to a single participantwith asymmetric gameplay. The player who will be alone will have to build his castle and fortify his defenses to prevent the fifteen other participants from getting their hands on his treasure. A new type of character, Ellon, will notably help fend off invaders in this mode.
In addition to this, we will find all the other traditional modes of Super Bomberman Rnamely a Creation mode, a level editor, the Battle 64 mode or the Grand Prix.
Super Bomberman R 2 will be released later in 2023 on PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
