Announced in June 2022, Super Bomberman R 2 finally sees its release date set for September 12, 2023 for the physical versions, and 13 for the dematerialized versions. Or for the 40th anniversary of the franchise. The title will then be available on PC via the Steam platform as well as on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
For its new opus, Konami promises the most content-rich game of the entire franchise bomber man. Of course players will be able to find the 8 Bomberman brothers and sisters in a Story mode, as well as local battles. But Super Bomberman R 2 will also offer plenty of content available in online multiplayer. Thus, the Standard, Battle 64 and Grand Prix modes are back, accompanied by a little new one, the Castle mode. Players will be divided into two camps and will have to compete to win the treasure.
A Level Editor feature is also appearing. Players will be able to create their own levels for Castle Mode and share them online.
The Story mode on its side has still been improved. During the confrontations against the new threat which weighs on the universe, the adventure will make you discover new planets, but especially will make you meet a new friend of Bomberman, Ellon.
