In the night from Sunday to Monday, one of the biggest sporting events of the year takes place again. So viewers can be there on TV and stream.

When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers meet the Kansas City Chiefs in their own stadium on the night of February 7th to February 8th, many German sports fans will also want to be there live. This year's Super Bowl – as always accompanied by an entertainment spectacle – will be broadcast on TV and viewers can also tune in via stream. These opportunities are there for anyone who wants to watch the game and the famous halftime show.

Classic on TV

The reporting begins on February 7th at 8:15 p.m. at ProSieben Maxx. Then it starts with "ran Football: Countdown to the Super Bowl". There are Carsten Spengemann (48), Roman Motzkus (51) and Volker Schenk (44). The show runs until 10:35 p.m. After that, viewers can switch to ProSieben, because from 10:40 p.m. until 5:00 a.m., the station will show "ran Football: NFL Super Bowl 2021". Jan Stecker (61), Patrick Esume (47, "Believe the Hype!"), Björn Werner (30) and Christoph "Icke" Dommisch (34) take over. The kick-off itself is around 00:30 on Monday night.

Multiple streams to choose from

The countdown and the game can also be seen for free on "ran.de". There the reporting starts at 2 p.m. – including in web shows with Werner, Esume and Stecker. Alternatively, viewers can also tune in via the app.

Interested parties can also watch ProSieben and ProSieben Maxx via Joyn, ProSiebenSat.1's in-house streaming platform. The whole thing also works via browser or app. However, other providers who broadcast the television program of the various German stations online (also via app) can be an alternative here – such as Zattoo or Waipu.tv. The prices for receiving private channels here range from 5.99 euros to 19.49 euros per month – depending on the provider and the chosen package. But there are also free trial months.

The Super Bowl LV with the original US commentary can also be seen live and on demand at the NFL. For this, however, interested parties must book a corresponding package. The American Football League also has a free offer, but the stream and the whole game on demand are only available in the "Super Bowl Pass" or in the "Pro" package, which costs 8.99 euros and 19.99 euros, respectively are available.

At the streaming provider DAZN, which specializes in sports broadcasts, the Super Bowl will also be broadcast from 00:30. Here viewers can choose between the original commentary and a German commentary. Viewers can also find out about the spectacle in advance via the NFL Network. Customers can switch on again via app or browser. The service costs 11.99 euros per month or 119.99 euros annually, but a free trial month is also offered here.
