Enjoyment is guaranteed with this quick baking recipe. Chocolatey, fruity, what more could you want? And the mini cakes are also completely flourless and therefore light on the stomach.

Sometimes all it takes is a squishy and bittersweet muffin to stay in a good mood during the afternoon slump. You only need to do a little and have a delicious snack ready in no time. The afternoon snack is created with just four ingredients. That’s all you need for the little treat:

Tasty mini cakes in a short time

Ingredients for six muffins:

  • 4-5 bananas
  • 180 g nut butter
  • 80 g dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces
  • 150 grams of blueberries

The muffins will turn out best if you put the chocolate in the fridge beforehand. Because then, with a bit of luck, you will manage to combine both hard chocolate pieces and melted chocolate in the pastry. If you prefer to double the number of muffins, i.e. twelve, you can double the ingredients. Nine is enough for the bananas.

A successful sweet-bitter balance

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Using a fork, mash the bananas into a puree.
  3. Add the nut butter and mix together.
  4. Add the bittersweet bits and blueberries, stirring gently to keep the berries intact.
  5. Then put the muffin batter in the molds provided and bake them for about 18-20 minutes.
  6. Let the blueberry chocolate muffins cool down and then enjoy the delicious snack.

What else mini cakes can do

Other sweet companions such as raspberries or strawberries also taste delicious with the banana dough. Also, instead of using chocolate, you can use some cocoa powder or fresh vanilla. But other alternatives like Kinder Bueno or Ferrero Rocher also taste good in the banana muffins. To do this, the finished chocolate products should also be cut up into small pieces or mashed with a fork. If this is too sweet for you, but you don’t mind the coconut taste, for example, you can also use plain coconut flakes in the banana dough. The addition of a little cinnamon is also very tasty in some creations.
