When you talk about a good goalie today, the discussion quickly gets to the point of how well he can play football. A point not to be underestimated in modern football, of course.
Only: A goalie can have 80% of the ball on his feet, but in the end it is still measured by his saves. When you go home as a spectator after the game, it is not the goalie’s passes that are remembered but his defense reactions.
And in this respect Heinz Lindner is brutally good. He makes almost no mistakes and has already saved the FCB countless points.
This is remarkable because Lindner has had to deal with names like Bürki and Karius for weeks and he is therefore under surveillance. But he withstands this pressure, the situation even seems to make him stronger. According to the motto: Do you really want a new number 1?
And by the way, I don’t think Lindner is too bad with the ball on my feet.
