THE Nintendo Direct du jour has kept all its promises and revealed many new features which will appear at the end of the year. Besides the true revelation of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and the amazing announcements of Mario & Luigi: The Brotherly Epic And The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomit is indeed a third Mario Party exclusive to the Switch to which we were entitled. Nothing really surprising given that the license has always multiplied the releases on the same console from the Japanese giant, and even less considering the millions of units sold from Super Mario Party And Mario Party Superstars. This new title responds to the funny name of Super Mario Party Jamboree and he clearly has strong arguments for ending up under the tree of a good number of players at the end of the year.
Nintendo here promises nothing less than the biggest episode to date with a number of mini-games surpassing that of its predecessor. As the trailer shows, a good twenty characters will be playable, not surprising since just as many players will be able to compete online. We therefore find Mario, Luigi, Toad, Toadette, Daisy, peach, Wario, Waluigi, Birdo, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Harmony, Bowser, Bowser Jr.A KoopaA BooA MaskassA GoombaA Spike and one Topi Taupe.
Five new sets were also shown, although two still remain quite mysterious, of which we only know the English names: Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party And King Bowser’s Keep. Two are returning from Mario Party And Mario Party 2namely respectively Mario’s Rainbow Castle And Country Western.
Mario and his friends meet up on a huge archipelago in this new opus of the Mario Party series. Discover five new trays : take the escalators in Rainbow Galleriestry to stay on the track in the crazy circuitor prepare for the chaos caused by the volcano of Goomba Island to name just a few examples. Two boards from the Mario Party series are also making a return. Moreover, over 110 mini-games, the largest selection to date in the Mario Party series, will be available. Discover action-packed challenges, speed trials, brain battles and mini-games that will use motion controls. And that’s not all, up to 20 opponents can compete online in Koopathlon mode ! The biggest Mario Party to date is about to arrive with Super Mario Party Jamboree.
