Super savings accounts: in which banks do they pay the most? : Current Woman Le MAG

Offered by many banks, the super savings account in principle allows you to deposit and withdraw funds freely, like a traditional savings account. However, unlike Livret A, super livrets are not regulated. Banks therefore offer very advantageous remuneration rates. Be careful, however: the attractive rates displayed are very often promotional, and the interest produced is subject to taxation.

In which bank to open a super savings account?

The interest rate is obviously the most important factor when choosing a super savings account. Some banks offer particularly advantageous promotional rates to attract customers. Thus, the Fortuneo Livret + earns 4% for 4 months after opening, and Monabanq offers a 3% passbook for 6 months. However, for these two booklets, the rate will then drop to 1%. In the same spirit, Cashbee offers a super savings account bearing 4% for 3 months. On the other hand, the rate excluding promotion is still 2.5%. So make sure you know the validity period of a rate that seems advantageous to you, and don’t hesitate to compare current offers using a comparator.

Is it always interesting to open a great savings account?

The super savings accounts face stiff competition with the Livret A and its remuneration rate maintained at 3% since February 1, 2023. After the first months, the return on the super savings accounts presenting an attractive promotional rate often proves lower than that of traditional savings accounts. This savings solution is therefore interesting for savers looking to invest a significant amount of capital over a short period. For a longer-term investment, the Zesto booklet from Renault Bank, with a yield of 2.75%, or the Distingo booklet, with a yield of 2.5% up to 10 million euros, can be more interesting solutions.
