After the premiere in 2022, the Superbloom took place again in Munich. The festival featured national and international stars.

For the second time, colorful flowers rose up in the Olympic Park last weekend Munich in the sky. The Superbloom Festival once again invited to musical highlights and performances. With lots of sunshine, the entry queues formed early on Saturday morning at the Olympic site. Those who then made it into the flowery Superbloom world could get in the mood for the weekend on the first day of the festival in the Olympic Stadium with singer Paula Hartmann (22) or dance with DJ Öwnboss (34) from Brazil on the Superstage next to the stadium. Away from the music and in the countryside, Disctrict 4 offered workshops as well as fashion and drag queen performances. The supporting program of the weekend also included comedy performances, children’s programs, live podcasts and hands-on activities.

Newcomer, German rap and DJ sound

Compared to last year, the Olympic Hall was not used for the festival this time and remained without a stage. “Last year, the Olympic Hall was not visited enough, which of course was not optimal for the artists performing,” explains Barbara Hexges, Head of Marketing & Communication of the Superbloom Festival when asked by spot on news. “We wanted to offer everyone the best possible experience and decided not to use the hall. We also wanted to reinforce the open-air feeling for our visitors.” The significantly enlarged NeoNeo Stage was available for newcomers in cooperation with Puls, the young content network of Bayerischer Rundfunk. Rappers Soho Bani (24), Orbit (28) and the indie band Jeremias, among others, delighted the audience on the stage at Olympiasee.

The main stage in the Olympiastadion was repositioned after last year’s frustration with the admission ban for security reasons, so that no fans had to stand in front of closed doors on Saturday. “By repositioning the stage, we were able to create more capacity for our visitors,” says Barbara Hexges. “We are very satisfied with that, because everyone could find a place and everything worked smoothly.” The British singer Ellie Goulding (36) was also happy, as was the German rapper Kontra K (36), who heated up the crowd with an energetic show and pyrotechnics.

Peter Fox (52) invited to a big dance party in the evening with the Seeed classic “Augenbling” or his hit “Schwarz zu Blau”. To do this, he gathered selected fans and dancers around him on stage, who waved “white flags” with him or painted the “future pink” with him. The Dutch DJ Martin Garrix (27) said goodbye to the almost 50,000 visitors with dance sounds and an impressive laser show into the night.

“Purple Clouds” and a rocking finale

“Thank you, Munich, thank you – please, Aggu, please!” It rang through the Olympic Stadium on Sunday morning, also in the best weather. The German rapper Ski Aggu (25) warmed up his audience, who were already surprisingly energetic given the early hours, with “Friesenjung” or “Party Sahne” and thanked him several times on his knees for the clapping and jumping of the fans. As on the first day of the festival, it remained musically varied: the German indie band Giant Rooks made the visitors dance as usual at their last show for this year and with “For you” and “Somebody Like You” made them want to listen to their second album, the front singer Fred Rabe announced to the delight of the fans at the performance in the stadium. After that, the two US pop stars Ava Max (29) and Jason Derulo (33) brought their biggest hits to Munich and filled the stadium with people.

On the Superstage, the German rapper Marteria (40) not only heralded the festival finale on Sunday, but also proclaimed the “best Sunday in the world”. Because after two concerts in Rostock’s Ostseestadion on Friday and Saturday, he was rewarded for the long journey to Munich and cheered by the crowd. The musician was not alone on stage, Miss Platnum and Yasha joined him to celebrate the tenth anniversary of their song “Lila Wolken” and to perform all the songs from the trio’s EP of the same name. “I will never forget that for you,” Marteria thanked the enthusiastic audience for the successful end of the weekend. On the big stadium stage, this was celebrated by the US rock band Imagine Dragons around singer Dan Reynolds (36), who, as the last act, also met a text-safe crowd and ended with their hits like “Radioactive” or “Whatever It Takes”. sat.

“Except for a few tickets in the higher price categories, we were sold out and had 50,000 visitors per day. We are very happy with our second edition of Superbloom, because we were able to implement everything we had planned,” is the positive conclusion of Hexges and her team. The festival will thus open the gates of its colorful world again in the coming year: the third edition has been announced for September 7th and 8th. Early bird tickets are on sale starting this Monday (September 4th).
