Superman and Lois: 7 key characters will leave the series before season 4

While “Superman & Lois” was renewed for season 4 a few days ago, Deadline has just announced that seven major comedians will not be back for this new burst of episodes…

Earlier this week, the CW announced that Superman & Lois was renewed for season 4. The superhero series led by Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will therefore be entitled to a new burst of episodes.

Good news that delighted fans who feared that Superman & Lois would be canceled by the American channel, which ended many series this year.

Unfortunately, this fourth season will experience many changes. Besides the fact that it will be reduced to 10 episodes, against the usual 13, it will also lose a large part of its cast, due to budget cuts.

According to information from DeadlineDylan Walsh (General Sam Lane), Emmanuelle Chriqui (Lana Lang), Erik Valdez (Kyle Cushing, Lana’s ex-husband), Inde Navarrette (Sarah, Kyle and Lana’s daughter), Wolé Parks (John Henry Irons), Tayler Buck (Natalie) and Sofia Hasmik (Chrissy Beppo) will thus leave Superman & Lois at the end of season 3, which ends in a few weeks in the United States.

The top five on this list have been present since launch. However, it is not excluded that the actors will be back in season 4 as guests for a few episodes.

Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch will be back in this new season, alongside Michael Bishop and Alex Garfin, who camp their children. Also according to information from Deadline, Michael Cudlitz, who joined Superman & Lois in season 3 to play Lex Luthor, has been promoted to regular for this new burst of episodes. Warner Bros. Television, which produces the series, did not comment on the announcement.

This Monday, June 12, the CW announced the renewal of Superman & Lois and All American: Homecoming. While this is good news for fans of both series, the channel also explained that both series will be experiencing major budget cuts.

If Superman & Lois manages to achieve good performance in terms of ratings, it remains indeed one of the most expensive drama series for the CW due to its large number of special effects.

In addition to reducing the cast and the number of episodes, the superhero series will surely focus more on the family side, in order to limit expenses.
