After only two evenings on the air, TF1 has decided to speed up the broadcast of the first season of “Superman & Lois” from this Tuesday evening, by offering 4 episodes instead of the 3 initially planned.
Superman & Lois fans will be able to discover the end of season 1 in record time. Indeed, after only two evenings on the air, TF1 has decided to accelerate the broadcast of the series from this Tuesday, August 2.
While 3 new episodes were initially planned, the front page therefore revised its plans upwards. This Tuesday, August 2, 4 episodes will be broadcast from 9:10 p.m. The following week, TF1 will air the last 5 episodes of season 1. Fans of the series will therefore have to stay up until 1:20 a.m. to find out what awaits Clark Kent, Lois Lane and their two children in the final.
If the channel has not officially justified its decision, this last minute programming change is probably explained by the disappointing audiences of the Arrowverse series carried by Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch.
For its second week of broadcast, Superman & Lois only managed to gather an average of 2.0 million viewers in front of the first two episodes of the evening, i.e. only 11.5% market share and 20.2% FRDA-50s.
The previous week, 2.49 million curious people had lined up in front of their television screen to discover the series, ie 16.3% of the public and 29.8% of the FRDA-50. A significant drop which therefore prompted TF1 to make changes for the coming weeks.
For the most impatient, and especially for those who don’t want to stay up until dawn to find out the outcome, the first two seasons of Superman & Lois are already available in full on the Salto streaming platform.
