Superstar Neymar begs for support after injury

Neymar has long been one of the great promises of world football. But at Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain there is always a flaw on him. He is accused of acting. He is often attacked hard on the pitch. At 31, the Al-Hilal hopeful has now torn his cruciate ligament.
Football star Neymar tore his anterior cruciate ligament and the meniscus in his left knee during Brazil’s 2-0 defeat in the World Cup qualifier in Uruguay. This was the result of investigations on Wednesday, as the Brazilian association (CBF) announced. Accordingly, the 31-year-old Neymar has to undergo an operation and will therefore be out of action for his club Al-Hilal in the Saudi Arabian league until further notice.
Neymar could be back for the Copa América next summer at the earliest, US broadcaster ESPN reported, citing sources at the Brazilian association. The tournament will be held as a test run for the 2026 World Cup in the United States.
The unlucky raven spoke up on Instagram. He feels “strong” but needs a lot of support for his desired comeback. “It’s a very sad moment, the worst,” wrote Neymar, remembering his injury from the spring. He injured his ankle ligaments in the game with Paris Saint-Germain against Lille in February and wasn’t ready again until the summer.
“I know that I am strong. But this time I will need my family and my friends even more. It is never easy to deal with an injury and an operation,” he wrote: “After four months of fighting for a comeback, it is now possible “Start everything from the beginning again.”
Brazil’s association assures Neymar of support
Shortly after conceding the first goal, Neymar suffered a serious injury before half-time in the 0-2 (0-1) draw against Uruguay on Tuesday evening when he landed incorrectly with his left leg after a running duel with Uruguay’s Nicolás De La Cruz. As he was driven off the pitch, Neymar hid his face with both hands and later left the stadium in Montevideo on crutches.
CBF President Ednaldo Rodrigues pledged his support to the Seleção number 10: “Brazilian and world football need Neymar healthy and rested, because football is happier when he is on the pitch,” said Rodrigues.
Brazil was unable to turn the game around after Neymar was substituted. In the second game in a row, the five-time world champion was unsuccessful. Recently it was only enough for a 1-1 draw against Venezuela, and Neymar then had to put up with significant criticism for his performance. Neymar has so far scored 79 goals in 129 games for the Seleção. After moving to Al-Hilal, he is the third highest-paid footballer in the world, according to Forbes, with annual earnings of 106 million euros. This sum consists of salary and advertising revenue.
