Susan Sideropoulos speaks about anti-Semitism: The Jewish woman wishes that the police would no longer have to stand in front of her children’s school.

Susan Sideropoulos (41) speaks openly about anti-Semitism in an interview. The children of the “GZSZ” star go to a Jewish school. “I wish I didn’t have the police in front of my children’s school,” explains the actress the “Bild am Sonntag”. Unfortunately, these are “facts to which we are at the mercy”. “And as long as I have to think about whether I should be afraid if my children walk in the street with a Star of David, we have a problem,” she adds.

“As long as there is anti-Semitism, we will not live here carefree”

She has been married to her husband Jakob Shtizberg since 2005. The two have sons Joel (* 2010) and Liam (* 2011). For her children it was “quite normal” until two years ago that the police were standing in front of their school. This was not an issue in the family for a long time, “because I refuse to raise my children in fear,” said Sideropoulos. “It’s only now that my kids have cell phones and internet access that they learn a lot more things.”

The actress recently had a similar experience in conversation with the news portal “t-online.de” voiced. Sideropoulos would be “better off” if the police weren’t necessary in front of their children’s school. “It’s not that I live with fear,” she said. The 41-year-old feels “very much at home in Germany”. “Nonetheless, I do not want to close my eyes to the fact that this problem exists. As long as there is anti-Semitism, we will not live carefree here,” she said.
