It is every woman’s nightmare that came true for an 18-year-old in Innsbruck on Sunday night. A 34-year-old man is suspected of raping the young woman in a courtyard. Screams drew the attention of passers-by to the crime. A witness was able to stop the suspect until police arrived. The investigators are now looking for exactly this man.
The terrible act is said to have happened around 12:30 a.m. in a courtyard of a house on Ing.-Etzel-Strasse in Innsbruck. “The woman’s screams drew the attention of passers-by to the incident, whereupon the perpetrator left her,” says the detective. “Main witness urgently wanted” A male passer-by was able to stop the suspect, he brought him to the ground and held him up for the arrival of the police. Afterwards, with all the hustle and bustle, the helper left the crime scene. “This male passer-by is a key witness, which is why he is urgently wanted,” emphasizes the police.
