On Monday there was a tobacco shop robbery in the city of Salzburg around 5:30 p.m. The perpetrator fled in a car. A suspicious person was stopped but released.
Shortly after 5:30 p.m. an unknown person robbed a tobacconist in Salzburg-Lehen. The perpetrator was able to steal a small amount of cash. According to initial reports, the suspect may have fled in a car after the crime. After just a few minutes, the police were on the trail of the alleged perpetrator. Officers also stopped a suspect on Ignaz-Harrer-Strasse. However, as it turned out, the man who was briefly arrested was probably not the perpetrator – he is still on the run. During rush hour traffic, a heavy traffic jam quickly formed on the busy Ignaz-Harrer-Straße.
