Suspects only 15 – double burglars caught in the act

Two 15-year-olds are said to have tried to break into two houses in Graz on Wednesday night. The police were able to arrest her red-handed in the Eggenberg district.

The resident of an apartment building in Graz Eggenberg observed two people climbing over the fence into the garden of the house in the middle of the night. At around half past midnight on Wednesday, she called the police. Several patrols immediately drove to the scene. There was no point in escaping. The police arrived just as the two suspects were running out of the courtyard of the apartment building. The two 15-year-olds immediately tried to escape – but police patrols stopped them shortly afterwards. The police seized burglary tools (screwdrivers, gloves and multi-function tools) from the young people and arrested the young men. Two burglaries in one night Investigations revealed that the two young people are suspected of having attempted another burglary in Graz on the same night. The Graz Criminal Investigation Department took over the detailed investigation. One of the two young people confessed to the allegations and was reported at large. The second 15-year-old refused to make any statement and was taken to the Graz-Jakomini prison on orders from the Graz public prosecutor.
