In an unstable economic context, their abrupt halt would be a blow to the enthusiasm for this sector.

On June 30, the exceptional learning measures will end. These aids of 5000 euros for the recruitment of a minor apprentice (and 8000 euros for an adult) were taken within the framework of France Relance. The aim was to prevent the pandemic-induced economic slowdown from causing a 20% to 40% drop in apprenticeship offers. These subsidies, which make the cost of the first year virtually painless for businesses, have demonstrated their effectiveness. For two years, the hiring of apprentices has broken records, reaching 525,600 contracts signed in 2020, and 730,000 in 2021. Just over 1 million bonuses have been requested by companies, to which 4 billion euros have been paid, according to the Department of Labor.
