According to the regional court, an employee of the Salzburg state clinics endangered other people with the corona virus. Because the young man went to work with a Covid infection that was not yet over. For this he got six months probation.
The defendant (23) was in quarantine for ten days: between December 6 and 16. Only: he should have stayed at home longer. Without testing himself, the stretcher went back to work on December 19 – to the state hospital of all places. “I haven’t read the separation notice well enough,” said the 23-year-old ruefully.
Only authorities can remove quarantine
On that December day it was even positive, including a CT value below 30 – ergo: The defendant was contagious at the time. “He shouldn’t have gone to work, the decision can only be revoked by the authorities,” one official made clear. As a stretcher, he should have been more attentive, said the judge. The non-final judgment: six months conditional imprisonment.
