Several trains are canceled in the Winterthur region, as reported by several Swiss media. According to the SBB, lines EC, IC1, IC5, IR13, S11, S12, S26, S35 are affected. The restriction lasts until at least 9:15 p.m. Replacement buses will be provided for the affected passengers.

As the Winterthur city police write on Twitter, St. Gallerstrasse near the Grüze train station is blocked in both directions because of a suspicious object. Rail traffic is also temporarily suspended.

The police operation has been underway since 6:15 p.m., as reported by “Blick”.
