Swedish Royal Family: Big reunion at Easter?

In recent years, the Swedish royals have celebrated Easter separately for various reasons. In 2021, the pandemic threw a spanner in the works for the families: At that time, Princess Victoria, 44, and Prince Daniel, 48, had only just recovered from their corona disease, which is why they celebrated alone with their children at Haga Castle. Prince Carl Philip, 42, and Princess Sofia, 37, had recently become parents to Prince Julian, 1, and Princess Madeleine, 39, stayed with her family in her adopted home of Florida.

But what about this year? Court spokeswoman Margareta Thorgren now commented on this to the Swedish magazine “Hänt”: “Easter is celebrated privately in Sweden”. She also reveals that Princess Madeleine will be staying in the United States. So a reunion of Victoria and Madeleine is out of the question, but maybe the rest of the Swedish royals around King Carl Gustaf, 75, and Queen Silvia, 78, will come together for a cozy Easter party.

Alina and Nicholas from Romania visit an exhibition

The time will soon come: Prince Nicholas of Romania, 37, and his wife Alina-Maria Binder, 34, will have their second child together. “My wife and I are very pleased to announce that we are expecting a baby in the spring of 2022. After Maria-Alexandra, we thank God for giving us the happiness of having another child,” Nicholas said in an official statement on April 5. December 2021 published on his Instagram account.

Current photos of the couple show that it won’t be long before baby number two is born. Nicholas and Alina visited artist Paul Hitter’s exhibition together and posed for a group photo together. Unmissable: Alina’s growing baby bump. It will probably be one of the last outings for the two of them before they soon become a family of four.

Discussion in Sweden! Soon no more photos of Princess Estelle & Co.?

The Swedish royal family always reliably delivers new photos of their family members for birthdays, anniversaries or other special events. Above all, the recordings of the little royals make the hearts of many fans beat faster with enthusiasm. But that could soon come to an end.

“Sharing” is the name of the dissemination of children’s photos by their parents on social media, and if it were up to the Swedish “Institutet för juridik och internet” (English: “Institute for Law and Internet”) and the state media council “Statens medienåd”, such pictures and videos will be a thing of the past in the future. As the television company “SVT Nyheter” reports, the “Institutet for Juridik och Internet” and the administrative authority subordinate to the Ministry of Education are now calling on the government to investigate whether children have sufficient legal protection from parents who post pictures and information about them in social media publish media. It remains to be seen whether this also applies to the children of the Swedish royal family.

Princess Marie celebrates the royal Instagram premiere with her travel diary

From April 3 to 7, 2022, Princess Marie of Denmark, 46, will visit various stations in Cambodia as patron of Folkekirkens Nødhjælp (a Danish humanitarian aid organization). Together with Birgitte Qvist-Sørensen, General Secretary of Folkekirkens Nødhjælp, Prince Joachim’s wife, 52, has already traveled to the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh and the provinces of Takeo and Kampong Chhnang.

Royal fans can read what Marie experienced there on the royal family’s official Instagram account. There, the princess has been keeping a digital diary in audio and written form since the beginning of her journey. This makes her the first Danish royal to report on a royal journey in this form. The users learn, for example, that Marie gets an insight into the work of the organization in fighting poverty, promoting sustainable development and strengthening rights in the country.

On the second day, Marie met, among others, “Neth Ny, a woman who had lost all her income during the pandemic. Now, with the help of Mith Samlanh [Partner des dänischen Catholic Relief Services] opened a small stall on a narrow street in Phnom Penh, where she sells frogs, water beetles and other animals that she catches in the Mekong,” writes Joachim’s wife. She is extremely impressed by the woman’s determination to lead a better life under these difficult conditions It is not known whether the Danish royal family documents all trips in this way. It is always a nice action!

Princess Mette-Marit: After being canceled due to illness, a trip lasting several days is pending

Just a few days ago, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, 48, raised concerns again. A trip on April 1, 2022 to Kirkenes in northern Norway with her husband, Crown Prince Haakon, 48, had to be canceled at short notice due to illness. Further details about her health were not disclosed. However, a new report from the Norwegian court lets you breathe again: The royal family announces an upcoming multi-day trip for the crown prince couple.

From April 20th to 22nd, 2022, the two royals should go to Spitsbergen. During their stay in the archipelago, or more precisely, in the mining town of Longyearbyen, meetings with residents and appointments with institutions and authorities are on the agenda.

Princess Mette-Marit: Did son Marius become self-employed?

At the moment there are many changes for the eldest son of Princess Mette-Marit, 48. At the beginning of March 2022, Juliane Snekkestad confirmed the separation from Marius Borg Høiby, 25. The Norwegian magazine “Se og Hör” then suspected that he had moved out of the common house in Tønsberg south of Oslo and back to his mother, Prince Haakon, 48, and left his half-siblings. He never confirmed that himself. After all, the near-prince is now giving an independent career update on Instagram.

Mette-Marit’s son, who comes from a previous relationship, has linked the “Maisen Custom Motorbikes” account in his bio. Various motorcycles, among other things, have been presented there since mid-January this year. This suggests that the 25-year-old may have set up his own business to sell motorcycles.

That would not be surprising, because he has already gained experience in this area: In autumn 2020 it became known that Marius works as a mechanic in the MREXX motorcycle workshop. However, he stopped there about a year ago, as the tabloid “VG” reported in April 2021. His former boss Mats Wike Runningen had only good things to say about “VG”: “Marius is efficient. He knows what he’s doing.” Certainly this also applies to his next career steps.
