Scharmützelsee
The Scharmützelsee is located between Frankfurt (Oder) and Berlin. It is the second largest natural lake in Brandenburg and covers an area of 1400 hectares.
The spa town of Bad Saarow is located directly on the Scharmützelsee. So if you don't just want to lie in the sun or go swimming, you can enjoy yourself in the Saarow Therme, for example.
Exploration tours on and around the lake are worthwhile, whether on water, by canoe or on an excursion boat. You can also cycle around the water on land by bike.
The RE1, whether from the direction of Berlin or from the direction of Frankfurt (Oder) stops in Bad Saarow am Scharmützelsee.
Liepnitzsee
It is one of the cleanest lakes in Brandenburg, apart from that it is only about eight kilometers from Berlin (near Bernau near Berlin). The Liepnitzsee is almost 120 hectares and is known for its abundance of wild animals (both fish and waterfowl). Another special feature of the lake is the island of Großer Werder, which is located in the middle.
The best time to visit the lake is on weekdays: at the weekend, many Berliners flock out of the city and to the surrounding lakes.

The Straussee is located in the northeast of Brandenburg

From Berlin take the S5 and get off in Strausberg. By car, you are traveling on the A10.
Oberuckersee
As the name suggests, Lake Oberuckersee is in the Uckermark district. It is the second largest lake in the Ucker River and covers an area of almost 685 hectares.
The Oberuckersee is something for everyone who enjoys peace and quiet. There is usually less going on here than at Unteruckersee. There are plenty of places for swimming and swimming.
If you are interested in stand-up paddling or canoeing, this is the place for you.
The train connection between Berlin and Prenzlau has a stop nearby, so that you can easily walk to the lake from there.
Bernsteinsee Ruhlsdorf: swimming lake with beach volleyball fields
The Bernsteinsee belongs to the municipality of Marienwerder in the Barnim district. In fact, it lies between Ruhlsdorf and Marienwerder.
