Swisscom: Quarterly net profit up 2.9%


(CercleFinance.com) – Swisscom publishes a turnover of 2,703 million Swiss francs (MCHF) for the 1st quarter, down 1.6% compared to the 1st quarter of 2023 (-0.5% in adjusted data ).

At the same time, EBITDA showed a limited decline of 0.8% (-1.5% adjusted), to 1155 MCHF, while EBIT stood at 568 MCHF (-0.9%).

Swisscom nevertheless posted a net profit up 2.9%, to 455 MCHF.

‘Business performance is satisfactory and meets expectations,’ commented CEO Christoph Aeschlimann regarding the first quarter of 2024.

‘We focus on quality and are more reserved than our competitors when it comes to promotions. In addition, we have not passed on the increase in costs, such as the increase in VAT, to our customers.
