It’s time for the summer review of nintendo regarding its sales of hardwares and softwaresof which you can find The report on his site. If the milestone of 100 million Switch sales had been crossed at the start of the year with a lot of units sold during the holiday season, things have calmed down a lot since then. In May, only 4.11 million additional consoles had been sold for a total of 107.65 million and although this number is bound to increase, the trend is again down with only 3.43 million consoles sold between April 1 and June 30, 2022, bringing the total to 111.08 million over its entire lifespan, whether normal, Lite or OLED models. Even compared to last year (4.45 million over the quarter), it is “low”. The explanation is simple, the continuing global semiconductor shortage in addition to the ever-present risks related to COVID-19… nintendo however, intends to maintain its sales momentum for the three models.
In terms of games, the dynamic remains good with 41.41 million copies sold over the quarter, for a total of 863.59 million over the entire life of the console. This is a little lower than at the start of the year when 55.77 million games had found takers, but the productions published clearly do not have the aura of a Pokemon Legends: Arceus. The list of exclusives first-party Nintendo the most sold has therefore been updated again, the ranking of which remains unchanged.

The publisher still reveals some other figures concerning the titles located well below in terms of performance:
- Nintendo Switch Sports – 4.84 million (new entry);
- Kirby and the Forgotten World – 4.53 million (read the test);
- Mario Strikers: Battle League Football – 1.91 million (new entry, read test).
We notice that Kirby and the Forgotten World still pleases as much, since 1.88 million copies found takers during the quarter and it is quite simply the best-selling license game to date, a nice gift for its 30th birthday! The sports game has everything of a bestseller if it continues to tear itself away as much, especially since it achieved this result in just two months. The beginnings of Mario Strikers: Battle League Football are also viewed favorably. And, no, no Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopeswhich is mentioned, but released only a few days before the end of June, in addition to being a game directly sold by Koei-Tecmo in Japan. We’ll see next time.
And about that, nintendo counts in particular on Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Splatoon 3, Bayonetta 3 and the duo Pokemon Scarlet and Purple to ensure sales for the rest of the year. You can also pre-order them. on Amazon at the price of €44.99.
