(CercleFinance.com) – Syensqo announced on Thursday the signing of a strategic partnership with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, with the stated objective of strengthening its commitments to innovation in the circular economy.
Under the terms of this three-year agreement, the Foundation will continue to rely on the contributions and expertise of Syensqo, while continuing its research in favor of waste elimination, product circularity and regeneration of nature.
Syensqo says it wants, for its part, to focus on three areas, namely the recycling of precious materials, extending the lifespan of materials and the design of biodegradable products.
The specialty chemicals group, which has set itself the objective of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040, indicates that more than 80% of its innovation projects are currently devoted to sustainable solutions.
