Great honor: on the first day of their trip to Germany, the Dutch royal couple also met Sylvie Meis at a state banquet.
Queen Máxima of the Netherlands (50) and her husband King Willem-Alexander (54) have been on a trip to Germany since Monday (July 5th). On the first day of their visit, the program included a state banquet in Bellevue Palace, which was also attended by presenter Sylvie Meis (43). Apparently a very special experience for the 43-year-old.

That’s why she was invited
in the Interview with the broadcaster RTL she now also revealed the reason for her invitation. “I was invited because as a Dutch woman I worked in the media for a long time and am still working,” explains Meis. On the way to the banquet, she was also quite nervous, she admits. The meeting itself felt like “in a movie”.
The visit of the Dutch royals, which could not take place last year due to the corona pandemic, ends tomorrow 7 July.
