It’s official, the Olympic flame arrived in France on Wednesday May 8, 2024. It made its entry through the port of Marseille, transported by the very famous boat Le Belem. And for the occasion, the Marseille city had seen things big. Many events were organized throughout the city to celebrate. There was notably a concert with two rappers from the city, Alonzo and Soprano, as well as a fireworks display. Thursday May 9, 2024, the French began the journey of the flame with relay passing throughout Marseille. The lucky ones were personalities from the world of television as well as from the world of sport and a few strangers will also have the chance to carry the flame. It must be said that this responsibility is particularly moving. The former president of the Miss France Committee will wear the flame on July 14, 2024 in Paris.

To reveal this well-kept secret, Sylvie Tellier posted a photo of herself, flame in hand, accompanied by the following caption: “Today, as the Olympic torch arrives in France, I am delighted to share extraordinary news: on July 14, I will carry the flame to Paris!”. A decision by the committee which greatly moves her, especially since the date of July 14 is particularly symbolic for her: “This date is emblematic for me – not only I got maried And my third child was born that day, but as Miss France, she symbolizes my deep connection with the Republic. A huge thank you to Valérie Pécresse, Tony Estanguet and Camille Emié for this unique opportunity. Even though I am not an athlete, sport is an essential part of my life.
