Sylvie Vartan cannot deny it. On August 15, 2024 she will celebrate her 80th birthday. If the singer is still full of energy, she has made a big decision: that of saying goodbye to the stage next November at the Dôme de Paris.

The deadline is distant but not that long. The muse of yéyés will undoubtedly mention it this evening in What an era! on France 2. Sylvie Vartan is the guest of Léa Salamé, as are Brigitte Fossey and Jérémy Ferrari.

On February 10, Sylvie Vartan spoke about her hectic pace of life at Figarowhile the daily newspaper was interested in the yéyés years and the three idols of the period: Sylvie Vartan, Sheila and Françoise Hardy.

David Hallyday’s mother then gave her interview in a very important place for her, one of her refuges: her 400m2 house (with 600m2 of land) located in the Villa Montmorency district, in the 16th arrondissement of Paris. “The most chic private enclave in the capital“, wrote Le Figaro. For fifty years, she divides her time between this warm house bought with Johnny Hallyday in 1974 and her other property in Beverly Hills“, specified the daily.

Sylvie Vartan donated half of her Parisian house to her son David Hallyday

This grandiose house purchased when she was in a relationship with the father of her son David, Sylvie Vartan donated 50% of it to David (Johnny’s shares). What she explained in 2018, while the war over the legacy of Johnny Hallyday raged. “When we separated after 18 years of living together, I purely and simply refused as part of our divorce to receive from Johnny, in the form of a donation, his share of the house (that at Villa Montmorency, therefore), preferring that it goes directly to our only son. This is also what our divorce judgment very clearly indicated. It was me, and me alone, who wanted to reward our son“, Sylvie Vartan wanted to clarify in a press release sent to AFP.

At the time, Point had looked back on this donation and recalled that it was only in 2002 that Johnny Hallyday had finalized the donation with a notary, attributing the usufruct to David Hallyday who then became “‘full’ owner of 50% of a house with garden valued at 3.05 million euros at the time of signing the notarial deed.

Today, the price of the house of Sylvie Vartan and her son David is completely different since the price per square meter is skyrocketing. “Prices of houses in Villa Montmorency can reach more than 46,000 euros per m² (avenue de Boufflers)“, explained Pointand that was several years ago.

Sylvie Vartan will continue to enjoy this house with her husband Tony Scotti but also with her children, grandchildren and her great-grandson Harisson, son of her granddaughter Ilona Smet. Also on the program for Sylvie Vartan after her farewell to the stage, a romantic vacation. And she is right !
