CAIRO (Reuters) – An Israeli-led airstrike on Aleppo’s international airport has caused it to be put out of service, Syria’s official SANA news agency reported on Tuesday morning, citing a military source.

Missiles launched from the Mediterranean Sea were intercepted by Syrian air defense systems, SANA said.

The Israeli army last year intensified its attacks on Syrian airports in order to disrupt arms deliveries from Iran to allied militias in Syria and Lebanon.
