System sounded the alarm – Paracelsusbad evacuated due to gas outbreak

The professional fire brigade Salzburg moved out on Tuesday to use chlorine gas in the Paracelsusbad. The bath had to be evacuated and Auerspergstrasse was temporarily closed.

The internal security system sounded the alarm: Chlorine gas escaped in the Paracelsus pool. The toxic gas escaped from the designated storage room. The Salzburg professional fire brigade came and took control measurements with heavy respiratory protection. The system has already automatically adjusted the value downwards. The bath was evacuated during the operation and Auerspergstrasse was closed. Two people were handed over to the Red Cross. The Floriani meanwhile moved back in and gave the all-clear. It must now be clarified why the gas escaped.
