Several weeks ago, we noticed that Square-Enix had registered the mark Tactics Ogre: Reborn, suggesting that the cult license of Tactical-RPG was about to return. We now have almost confirmation, since the game has just been listed again, but this time directly on the PlayStation Store.
Tactics Ogre is back
It’s now half-heartedly confirmed, Tactics Ogre: Reborn does exist. This leak from the PlayStation Store even allows us to discover new artwork for the game, with a logo. It will simply be noted with humor that the description of the game was limited to a single word, namely “ dummy (idiot), before the page was taken down according to Gematsu.
It’s now only a matter of time before the game is made official by Square Enix, but when? The publisher has still not planned Square Enix Presents, and we imagine that the next speech from Sony is not for a few weeks. Then comes the possibility of an upcoming Nintendo Direct, supposedly slated for the end of June, which would be the perfect place for such an announcement as it’s assumed the game is set to release on Switch as well.
So be patient, but the return of the license is closer than ever.
