Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festival, a release date and a paid subscription for the new Switch-exclusive rhythm game

Series Taiko no Tatsujin Although niche, it continues to make its small life between game consoles and arcade terminals since 2001. Bandai Namco Games wants to follow up with Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythm Festivalan episode confirmed last February during a Nintendo Direct.

The publisher has just formalized its release date: it will be for October 14, 2022 in France exclusively on Nintendo Switch, and from September 22 in Japan. The game will include 76 playable songs in mode Taikoa way Story around DON Chan and Kumo Kyunonline battles and a mode Party designed for collaboration. All will unlock Donate Coins to be exchanged for cosmetic items such as costumes or nameplates.

The great novelty will be the possibility of registering for the Taiko Music Passa subscription service providing access to more than 500 songs, and updated monthly. Its price has not yet been communicated. A Digital Deluxe Edition will later be entitled to the standard edition and 90 days of Taiko Music Passbut at launch, only this standard version and a Taiko Drum Set including drums will be offered for sale.
