Ralf Schmitz said goodbye to the dating show “Take Me Out” after more than seven years. Jan Köppen is now following in his footsteps.

It is now clear who Ralf Schmitz (46, “Schillerstraße”) will represent in the future as a presenter on “Take Me Out” (on RTL or via TVNow). “Ninja Warrior Germany” host Jan Köppen (38) will take over the job of comedian and from the coming season will help singles in search of love. This was announced by RTL on Sunday (March 28th).

Köppen has already gained experience as a moderator at a dating show. He hosted the program “Are You The One” for TVNow before Sophia Thomalla (31) took over the scepter there. He is very happy about the new job, he says. However, he also has faint doubts: “At ‘Take Me Out’, 30 women are standing at their buzzers, cackling and giggling … we’ll see if I can keep control over that. When it comes to woman power, we put ourselves in the middle as a man ask, you have to have guts. I don’t even want to talk about the courage of the single man. ”

The dating show has been running on RTL since 2013 and has now developed into a cult format. The new episodes with Jan Köppen as the new presenter are expected to be shot in Cologne from summer 2021. It is not yet known when the new season will be shown on television.
