It has been 15 years now that Bryan Mills – an all-powerful Liam Neeson – pronounced it, with conviction and firmness and by telephone. At the other end of the line, the kidnapper of her daughter, a member of a formidable gang specializing in the trafficking of women. Good news: Bryan is a former CIA agent. Bad news: he is in Los Angeles and she has just been kidnapped in Paris.
Written by Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen, and directed by Pierre Morel, Taken, the first installment, grossed over $226 million against a budget of $25 million. The public is at the rendezvous and two sequels will be offered to them: Taken 2 and Taken 3, released respectively in 2012 and 2014.
The franchise even had the right to its series created in 2017 by NBC, with Clive Standen playing a young Bryan Mills.
