Since he managed to buy Twitter, Elon Musk has been in great shape on the microblogging platform, chaining short messages sometimes funny, sometimes serious. And between two nonsense, he sometimes mentions potential adjustments to the platform’s functionalities. On April 28, the Tesla founder hinted that default message encryption might one day be available.

“The DMs [messages privés, NDLR] from Twitter should have end-to-end encryption like Signal, so no one can spy on or hack your messages.”, he tweeted. An idea that comes up from time to time in the debates on the possible improvements of the network to the blue bird, in the same way as the famous modification of the tweets. A “modify” tab which could also arrive in the coming months, under the impetus of Elon Musk who was in favor of it.
