Talks about “Dune 3”
Zendaya is waiting for signs from director Denis Villeneuve
Zendaya has announced that she will return to the role of Chani for a third part of “Dune”.

The second part isn’t even in theaters yet and Zendaya is already ready for the third “Dune” part.
Shortly before the cinema release of “Dune – Part 2” on February 29th, there is already a lot of speculation about a third part. Zendaya (27), who played the role of Chani in both the first and second book adaptations by director Denis Villeneuve (56), would apparently always be ready for another film.
Zendaya: “Whenever Denis is ready”
“I mean, of course. Every time Denis calls, I answer ‘yes’. I’m excited to see what happens,” said the actress and singer in an interview with “Fandango”. She started reading the second part, “Dune Messiah,” from Frank Herbert’s six-part book series. There is so much that has to be processed and implemented in the films, “but there are no better hands with more care and love than those of Denis Villeneuve,” says Zendaya.
“I’m just excited. It’s just anticipation. Whenever he’s ready. He’s a perfectionist in a lot of ways and doesn’t want to share things until they’re ready. So I respect that and wait until he’s ready.”
Villeneuve confirmed in December 2023 that the script for “Dune 3” was almost finished, but that he might start another project before then. “I don’t know exactly when I’ll return to Arrakis. Maybe I’ll take a detour before then, just to escape the sun. For my sanity, I might put something in between, but my dream would be to return to this planet one last time be the one I love”, said the director literally to “Empire”.
Many stars can be seen in “Dune – Part 2”.
“Dune – Part 2,” the first blockbuster of the year, could hit theaters at the end of February. The sequel to the 2021 sci-fi epic once again has a star-studded cast with leading actor Timothée Chalamet (27), Stellan Skarsgård (72), Javier Bardem (54) and of course Zendaya. This time, veteran star Christopher Walken (80), “Elvis” star Austin Butler (32) and “Oppenheimer” actress Florence Pugh (27) are also joining us.
