Tanja Szewczenko had to cope with some setbacks regarding her desire to have children. She remembers her last miscarriage.

In April, Tanja Szewczenko (43) and her husband Norman Jeschke (42) made their family happiness with the twins Leo and Luis perfect. But the way there was not an easy one: The couple, who also have a daughter, tried for years to get pregnant again and were about to give up their desire to have children. In a new Instagram post Szewczenko now reports on the difficult time and looks back on her last miscarriage exactly a year ago. “Yesterday, 365 days ago, I was picked up again in an ambulance because it just didn’t stop bleeding massively,” says the former “Everything that matters” actress.

At the time, it was her last fertilized egg that was transferred to her in March 2020. Tanja Szewczenko tried to get pregnant again for five years. In a period of two years, she suffered four miscarriages, reports the ex-figure skater. “A year ago, lying in the ambulance, I thought that it would be enough,” she remembers the day in June 2020. She already knew that the last attempt “didn’t develop any further” and was “hoping for a natural exit” . “But it shouldn’t be. Scrap No. 4 was coming up.”

Tanja Szewczenko became pregnant again

At that time she was lying in the anteroom of the operating room and was “streaked with tears” and asked herself whether she should try any more. “I wanted to let go, had no more strength, didn’t want everything to revolve around the topic of having children,” describes the 43-year-old. She had “had enough of the dark times” and decided to enjoy the rest of the summer. Szewczenko wanted to “just live again”. Three cycles later she “spontaneously” became pregnant with the twins.
