Jean Salvignol disappeared on February 18 and if he was quickly found, it was thanks to the talent of Marie-Ange and a very special object.
Luck, lucky star, serendipity or real talent, it doesn’t matter what you believe in since the result is the same: Jean Salvignol, an octogenarian who lives in Castres in the Tarn, was found the day after his disappearance… thanks to a pendulum. As our colleagues from La Dépêche explain, the 86-year-old man was reported missing on Saturday February 18 after leaving the hospital. Without news, his relatives report his disappearance, worrying that he spent the night outside. And among the people who spotted the call for witnesses made by the authorities is Marie-Ange, a dowser who had planned to spend the afternoon of Sunday 19 in his garden but whose plans quickly changed.
Dowsers are people who are sensitive to radiation from people and objects and who let themselves be guided with pendulums or rods. And it was indeed a pendulum that allowed Marie-Ange to locate Jean Salvignol a few hours after his disappearance. “Drinking my coffee, I said to myself that a life was worth more than gardening. I didn’t hesitate, I took my pendulum and I looked on a map. It’s always a sector, never a specific point” she explained to The Dispatch. After her pendulum showed her two sectors in particular, Marie-Ange therefore decided to go conduct its investigation.
The deceased is doing well
And after a first fruitless search, the dowser ended up falling on the missing as she told it. “I found him there, on the ground, I think he had fallen. He was weak, he replied with a small ‘yes’ when I called him Jean. I put my bag under his neck, I called 15 and the police arrived quickly. I stayed with him, shaking his hand. I think his down jacket saved him.”. The heroine of the day then explained that she asked for news of Jean Salvignol who again found himself in the hospital and learned, reassured, that the news was good.
