In the "Tatort: This is our house" the commissioners investigate in an alternative shared apartment. Is there a murderer among the residents?

The Stuttgart investigators Bootz (Felix Klare, 42) and Lannert (Richy Müller, 65) in their latest "Tatort: This is our house" (January 17th, 8:15 pm, the first) do not really go on the hunt for criminals only try to clarify the identity of a woman's corpse. In doing so, they have to immerse themselves in the special features of an alternative community of owners of a house in the Stuttgart suburbs.

This is what the "Tatort: This is our house" is about

Four weeks ago the members of the Ostfildern Oasis building association moved into their building and the foundation has to be re-excavated due to a sealing problem. An even bigger problem emerges: an unidentifiable female corpse. Thorsten Lannert and Sebastian Bootz try to pave their way between group meetings and expressions of feelings from the residents in order to obtain clues about the identity of the dead.

In doing so, they encounter the idealistic dream of living together as well as the conflicts that arise between the apartment owners when they become aware that one of them may have been the perpetrator. Especially since the dead person could be a former applicant who at some point disappeared without a trace.

Part of the group will find their own suspect outside the home, making life easier for themselves. The commissioners, however, are not prepared to be influenced by aura and gut feeling. Rather, it gives you to think that the missing applicant had caused a stir among some residents …

Is it worth switching on?

Yes, but you shouldn't have any aversion to the Swabian dialect. The main roles of the episodes are sometimes extremely swabby, which could possibly even lead to problems of understanding for one or the other. Otherwise, "This is our house" manages to highlight the problems and contradictions in such alternative housing projects with a wink or two and sometimes even satirize them.

The actual homicide is not necessarily in the foreground, the investigators hunt around 60 out of 90 minutes of a single – maybe even wrong ones? – Follow me. Which is the only real criticism of the film: It's more of a social study than a crime thriller. The unidentified corpse and the investigation are only the rough framework, the gateway for the trials and tribulations of the alternative residential group – including intrigues, lies and assaults.
