10 million euros: this is the sum reported by the “Innovative Property” system set up by the tax authorities, on an experimental basis, to identify unscrupulous taxpayers who have omitted, intentionally or not, to declare their swimming pool. The originality of this new tool? It uses particularly innovative artificial intelligence technologies to optimize the detection of undeclared constructions or developments. To do this, the Directorate General of Public Finances (DGPIP) put its best computer scientists to work, who worked on the project with private partners such as Google (precursor in AI) or Cap Gemini.
