Por the few taxpayers still declaring their taxes in paper format, these are the last hours to do so, under penalty of having a penalty of 10% of the tax due. The deadline for returning the declaration has been set for Monday, May 22, at 11:59 p.m.. And this, “regardless of the place of residence (including for French residents abroad), the stamp of La Poste being authentic”, recalls the tax administration.

If the online declaration has become popular in recent years, the paper format remains relevant for households without internet access at home, those living in a white area, those unable to use the service online or those who have “explicitly expressed [leur] willingness to receive a paper declaration”, recalls Le Figaro. The latter received their form by post in April. It is also possible to obtain it “from the Public Finance Center of your home”, specifies Bercy. This document is pre-filled, you just need to check the information and correct it if necessary.
