Taylor Swift is unstoppable: she is the first woman to have four albums in the top ten of the US album charts at the same time.

Taylor Swift (33) is an absolute megastar. With her newly recorded album “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” she entered the US album charts at number one, as the industry service “Billboard” reports. With this, the musician not only managed the best start of an album of the current year, but also two new records.

First woman with four albums in the top ten

For one, Taylor Swift is currently the first woman and the third artist ever to have four albums simultaneously on the US album charts. The 33-year-old’s new album reached the top spot on the “Billboard 200” with 716,000 units sold. In addition, their older albums “Midnights”, “Lover” and “Folklore” are in the top ten. The record is held by Prince (1958 – 2016): After his death in 2016, five of his albums were in the top ten of the US charts.

Taylor Swift passes Barbra Streisand

On the other hand, Taylor Swift’s new album beats the record set by Barbra Streisand (81), who is one of the world’s most successful singers with over 145 million records sold. Speak Now is Swift’s twelfth number one album. Streisand holds the record for all female artists with eleven number one albums.
