Taylor Swift’s father was involved in an incident with a paparazzo in Sydney. Now it is clear: there will be no charges.

Taylor Swift’s (34) father Scott Kingsley Swift (71) was lucky again. At the end of February, the 71-year-old was involved in a physical altercation with a paparazzo in Sydney. The Australian photographer then filed a complaint alleging bodily harm. Now the New South Wales Police have opposite Australia’s Daily Mail confirmed that no further action would be taken following an investigation into the incident.

What happened in Sydney?

According to the report, the altercation occurred in Sydney in the morning hours of February 27th (local time). Taylor Swift played her last Australian “The Eras Tour” show there that evening. The singer is said to have previously traveled with her father Scott on a luxury yacht from Homebush to the ferry pier in Neutral Bay. Photographers were already lurking there.

Swift’s father and her security guards then camouflaged the singer with a large umbrella to protect her. The photographers are said to have been very pushy and aggressive, as a spokesperson for Taylor Swift said at the end of February “People” magazine had reported. “Two individuals aggressively approached Taylor, grabbed her security guards and threatened to throw a female staff member into the water.”

Father Scott then allegedly attacked one of the photographers and gave him the middle finger. The latter can actually be seen in a photo obtained by the Daily Mail.

Swift’s dad Scott accompanies daughter on her tour

Taylor Swift’s dad Scott is a familiar face on his daughter’s record-breaking tour, which began last spring. Among other things, he handed out food to fans, chatted with her friend Travis Kelce (34) and with prominent guests like Rebel Wilson (44).
